Not studying today.
Hello!!! Sorry about you all having to look at those goatlets for so long... its been really busy here. We essentially had four exams in a row, which ended the night before my dad got here.
My dad and I had a really great visit- got to do a lot of stuff together and even let pops take the car out a few times on his own. Scary stuff. We went out to some wonderful dinners at Ciao, X's, PJs, and Spratnet, which had just opened for the season the day we went and it was wonderful as always. On Thurs after classes we took off for the Marriot beach where my dad snorkled and I studied (not too shabby!). Then on Fri after my dad's 9 hour rainy island tour, we headed to Ziggys to watch beach volleyball and then headed home early to eat some chicken lady chicken. Very tasty, though being the perfectionist that she is, we stood there for nearly an hour waiting for the dern birds to cook.
Saturday we decided to try a hike in the rainforest, which was really nice since that's something I hadn't had a chance to do yet here. After the LONG process of actually finding the trailhead, including almost getting the car stuck on a mountain side, we hiked into the jungle and along some very densely rainforested paths. This is the only place the whole week I really had my camera, so there are two pics are from in there. Yes, I'm a sweaty mess.
And then it was Sunday, and as all good things must come to an end, pops got back on the plane and headed home. Twas a fun five days.
Later on that day I was obliged to played soccer in the BLAZING heat, and then settled in to the library. I dont believe I emerged from the library until Friday morning before my physio exam. It was a truly heinous week of studying. BUT, the good news is that I actually pulled good grades on both exams (a small miracle). The physio exam was SO ridiculously hard that Reich actually gave back ten points.TEN points! This is a man who DOES NOT curve exams, so I have to assume that a) the average was insanely low (like failing), and b)he realized that there were multiple answers for multiple questions. Anyway, I came off ok and I promise to actually do some pre-exam studying for the next one...
So thats that. I also threw in a pic from before my dad got here of Renee and Adam at Adam's Bday dinner at Serendipity. He made an ass of himself as usual and good times were had by all. Tonight is another cat trip to Nevis, and it will be nice to unwind and not think about school for an evening. I apologize to those I have been sincerely ignoring for the past two weeks or so- I am now back to normal so I'm sure I wiil talk to you soon. and of course HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SAR!!! (Oct 5th, but what the hey?)
And because I know you would miss the goats, I'll leave you with a pic of them settling in for the night with Batik.
